Author: Priya Kumar

Genre: Fiction, thriller

Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Set in Nagarjuna Tiger Reserve, the author tries to show the real face of society through her story. She has very beautifully portrayed the relationship between the man and the wildlife.

The story shows how man for his greed and selfishness has destroyed nature and the wildlife and how people with political agendas and sold out media do this for their own benefits. It talks about so many issues including deforestation, genetic modification of animals, corruption and at the same gives you a lot of valuable things to learn.

The story has so many characters in it. Starting with Bhikku with a strange divinity stays in jungle fearless of the wild animals, Sakshi who is a forest officer who loves animals and can go to any extent to protect the wildlife and the forest.

Then there is a mysterious White tiger whom everyone thinks is a man-eater but no one knows how it came into this forest. And a family going through their own feud come to this forest to spend some good time together. Everyone with different background meets together to save the forest and wildlife from vested political interests.

There are so many characters and the author has treated each of them with utmost importance and the storytelling is very captivating to the readers. I loved the connection between the Bhikku and the white tiger very much.

This story is so interesting that it will keep you hooked until the end. The language used is simple enough to be understood by everyone. This is the first book I have read of Priya Kumar and I totally loved it. Can't want to read her other books.

I strongly recommend this book to everyone.
