This book is a unique and rare combo of history, mythology, suspense, thriller, mystery and fantasy. The story starts with the monkey warrior Valikesh entering Ravan's castle after the war between Ram and Ravan where he finds a gem that unleashes the evil.
Then the story shifts to early British rule where the Britishers want to make everyone as their slaves. Britishers want to conquer the Kingdom of Devangarh in Rajasthan ruled by Raja Ravindra Pratap Chauhan and try to negotiate with the King to maintain peace.
Raja Ravindra did not budge to their offers and decides to fight with the Britishers for the sake of retaining peace and freedom of his kingdom. But his sudden demise forces his son Rudra Pratap Chauhan to take over the responsibility of the Kingdom.
Rudra, suspecting his father's sudden death to be a murder starts investigating and through this he gets to know a lot of secrets of the past, about his forefathers, the evils, Tarikshir and many other things.

The storyline is very unique and amazing. The book cover itself is very intriguing which forced me to buy this book in the first place.
The writing is extraordinary for a debutant author. He has an impeccable writing skills and I never felt the story is boring or dragging too much. The narration of the story and the characters is crisp and lucid. Each character is given much needed importance.
Loved the twists and turns in the story that are very well showcased. And the suspense of the story is maintained so well that the reader can't stop reading till the end.
Overall it was a great read. I recommend this book to all historical fiction and mystery lovers.
That's all for today guys.
