India's culture and heritage is a never-ending chapter which has so many secrets to be unravelled. This book is a very well researched story of history and mythology. Being set in the period 1200 CE, this book gives us the background of the construction of one of the most historical temples Konark temple.
This book is about Bishnu Maharana and his journey towards becoming the chief architect of the Konark Temple and how he is referred to as the Vishwakarma of this generation. The story follows his life journey from his childhood to his profession.

As the story progresses we see many secrets behind the architecture of the Konark temple unravelling that is unknown to many of us. I loved the way the author has interwoven the details of construction and architecture with history and the mythological stories related to each of the monument. The author has researched so well for this book.
Since this is a first book in the Konark Secret duology the story moved at a slow pace with a lot of background information but hopefully it will pick up the pace in the next part. Can't wait to read the next part in this series.
