"Lifeline" is a story which gives us an account of experiences and situations that we deal in our everyday life though fictional characters. The theme of the book includes love, friendship, office politics, struggles of startups and so on.
Akhil, a workaholic guy giving his best to his job and Teesha a marketing geek are both experiencing the worst of office politics which results in losing their jobs and are trying to boost their careers.

Rati, Akhil's sister is a single mother who wants to develop her startup. The story focuses on how these three main characters come together and whether or not they succeed in their venture. It shows the difficulties of venturing into startups in India.
The story progresses very subtly and gradually. The language is simple and lucid. The narration is good but I felt the life experiences and situations in the story could have been portrayed better. Otherwise it was a good story. This is a very short book that you can finish it in one sitting.
