Genre: Mystery, thriller

Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

'Who threw draco down the chimney' is the third book in the Darya Nandakarni series. The story revolves around an accidental self-made detective Darya Nandakarni and the story takes place in Sibiu, Romania which is famous for the infamous tale of Dracula.

Darya struggling from her personal problems moves unexpectedly to Sibiu and works as a barista in a local cafe. She was surprised when Brian whom she had a liking for went missing and she was given the task of unravelling the mystery of his sudden disappearance.

And in the land where people believe of devils and tall tales, the story focuses on Darya's investigations and whether or not she finds out the truth behind this mystery.

The story is very slow to read and you need to read it with much patience and concentration on every character. The author has maintained the suspense and mystery throughout the book. I usually like fast-paced stories so I find it little difficult to control myself from leaping to the climax but it was definitely worth reading.

I liked the way the author has shifted focus from past and present with two different timelines and the both of them are intertwined. The language is simple and lucid. And I haven't read the previous two books in the series but that did not make any difference while reading this book. It can be read as a standalone book and if you love mystery books then you can give this book a try.
