Author: Sabarna Roy

Genre: Fiction, Crime thriller

Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

This is a play split into two acts with an interval in between. The protagonist Oindrila is head over heels in love with Mriganka, a writer and wants to introduce him to her mother. Debasree, Oindrilla's mother refuses to her proposal as she thinks Mriganka is not a suitable companion for her daughter and she hopes to get her daughter into her business.

Soon with Debasree lures Mriganka with an offer of publishing his novel and in return he would stay away from her daughter. Her plan was working perfectly fine when all of a sudden everything turned upside down with the death of Oindrilla. Was it a suicide or a murder?

Act 2 focuses on Renuka Sanyal, a detective hired by Debasree unravelling the real mystery behind Oindrilla's death. Entire Act 2 is an interrogation of the presumed suspects. It's very interesting to see the plot turning around and the climax was just unpredictable.

The story gives us a glimpse of a mother's love for her daughter at the same time shows us how our decisions taken in haste can result in a disastrous outcome. The author has very well kept the mystery till the end. As the characters get introduced the mystery keeps getting intriguing.

This is a very interesting story which will keep the readers hooked till the end. Unlike his other books, the language used in this book is very simple and the narration and the plot are very easy to understand. I liked this story very much and I recommend it to everyone.
