First of all, when I read the title I thought this is a self-help book. If you thought so too then you are wrong. This is not a self-help book but a collection of short stories each with a unique tale, although it gives us a very strong message through each story.

The title kind of intrigued me to pick up this book and I didn't know what exactly does Dhi mean. So I looked up its meaning and found that Dhi is a Sanskrit word which means understanding, reflection, imagination, intellect or anything related to mind. So that's exactly what this book focuses on.

The stories in this book range from the pre-independence time to the modern society and through each story it gives us a message that how one's weaknesses or flaws can be used to transform oneself. It focuses on a wide variety of human reactions like jealousy, ego, anger and how each of the protagonists makes a remarkable transformation to their lives with them.

The author has a knack for storytelling and she narrated the stories beautifully. Starting with Bhagyalakshi, a girl from a pre-independence, Seerat of modern society, Sneh the wise woman all these characters will leave a lasting impression on the reader's mind.

With each story, the reader is sure to learn some valuable knowledge. The language used is simple and lucid and the characterization is just amazing. I loved this book and I recommend it to everyone.
