The story is set in the backdrop of the Carnival Festival of Durga Puja in Kolkata. Just before the Carnival procession, a dead body is found inside one of the Durja idols. The incident shook the city to the core and left everyone with the terror of the consequences.
The dead body for everyone's amaze was preserved so that it doesn't decay. And nobody knows the identity of the dead person. Police are trying to find out the person behind this heinous crime and the opposition is not leaving a single chance to degrade the government. Ahana is an independent psychologist who despite her problems sets out to help the police in finding the real culprit. While the investigation is coming to an end Ahana goes missing mysteriously.
Will they find out the murderer?
What happened to Ahana?
So is it just murder or is it beyond what meets the eye?

The story is very thrilling and keeps you hooked till the end. The author has very beautifully depicted the story and the Carnival and the characters. Each character is very different and interesting to read. The story shows the faults in our system and how people for their political benefit take advantage of the system and the frame people.
I liked the way the author has started the story with an intriguing question and also ends it with a cliff hanger that the readers can't help but to anticipate the next book. It's a short book which you can complete it in one sitting but at the same time very enthralling. I liked the story very much and I recommend it to everyone.
